Visão Geral do Projeto
In late April, 2017, our 300-ton boat and yacht handling crane was put into operation at a shipyard in Bushehr, Iran, as part of the client’s expansion project.
The new system improved vessel transfer efficiency, increased production capacity, and optimized the use of the existing yard space.

Requisitos do cliente
When the client first contacted us, their main concern was straightforward:
they needed a reliable boat crane that could safely handle large boats and yachts while working efficiently within the existing yard layout.
The shipyard had around 2 acres of rail yard space, but the movement path was limited, which meant the equipment needed both high lifting capacity and stable travel performance.
Their key requirements included:
- lifting boats up to 300 tons
- smooth travel inside the rail yard
- faster transfer between work zones
- dependable outdoor operation
- support for future production growth
More importantly, the client wanted a solution that could help shorten the vessel handling cycle without requiring major reconstruction of the yard.
Our Solution
This project started with several rounds of discussions between our engineering team and the shipyard’s technical staff.
At the beginning, the client shared their production plan for the coming year. Vessel orders were increasing, and the existing lifting equipment was causing delays, especially during peak production periods.
After reviewing the site dimensions, travel routes, and lifting requirements, we proposed the MBH300t boat and yacht handling crane.
One challenge during the planning stage was the limited operating space.
The boat lifting gantry crane had to move safely across the rail yard while carrying heavy vessels, so stability and turning clearance became key points in the design.
During installation, our team worked closely with the local engineers to complete on-site assembly, system checks, and load testing. Once the crane passed the commissioning test, it was immediately put into daily operation.
Seeing the first vessel lifted and transferred smoothly across the yard was a key moment for the whole project team.

Principais características
This 300t boat and yacht crane was selected mainly for its practical performance in shipyard operations.
Strong Lifting Capacity
Capable of handling large yachts, fishing vessels, and ship sections up to 300 tons.
Stable Yard Movement
Designed for smooth travel within rail yard environments, even under full load.
Better Space Use
The crane helped the client make full use of the existing yard instead of expanding the site.
Reliable Power
Equipped with a Cummins engine to ensure stable operation during frequent daily use.
Client Feedback
After the crane was put into service, the client shared positive feedback on both the installation process and the operating performance.
What impressed them most was how quickly the new equipment improved the daily workflow.
The transfer time between production zones was reduced noticeably, and vessel movement became much smoother than before.
The shipyard management team also mentioned that the crane has played an important role in supporting their expansion plans.
Resultados do projeto
Since the project went live, the shipyard has been able to increase its vessel output by around 10 additional units per month.
The improved handling efficiency has also helped reduce waiting time between production stages, making the overall workflow more organized.
According to the client, the expansion project has also created around 100 new local jobs, bringing direct value not only to the business but also to the local marine industry.
For the client, this was not just an equipment upgrade, but a practical step forward in growing their shipbuilding capacity.
