In September 2025, a major Vietnamese steel manufacturer planned to upgrade its blast furnace system to enhance material handling efficiency and operational safety. Consequently, they consulted Weihua for reliable lifting equipment, requiring solutions capable of operating under high-temperature, heavy-load conditions to cover the entire workflow from scrap steel processing to molten metal transfer.
Based on the client’s requirements, Weihua provided a solution comprising QC electromagnetic overhead cranes (50 tons/10 tons) and YZ casting bridge cranes (100 tons/32 tons).

To meet customer needs, the Weihua technical team designed a dual crane solution:
Upstream Processing
QC Electromagnetic Bridge Crane:50 tons/10 tons, used for handling scrap steel loading and transportation, ensuring fast and safe delivery of materials from the yard to the furnace area.

Downstream Processing
YZ Foundry Bridge Crane: 100 tons/32 tons, used for high-temperature steelmaking operations such as lifting and pouring molten metal, enhancing safety and stability.

- Ambient temperature tolerance: Up to 70°C
- Insulation class: Class H
- Optional rotating lifting device: ±270° electric rotation
- Design overload testing: 1.25 times dynamic load, 1.4 times static load

Suporte técnico e de instalação da Weihua
The project was completed within 35 days, encompassing design, manufacturing, testing, and shipment. The Weihua service team provided full-process support to ensure smooth project execution from factory to site. The factory also conducted comprehensive acceptance testing, including 72-hour continuous simulated steelmaking operation, IP55 protection rating verification, and salt spray testing to ensure suitability for coastal environments.
We provided advance on-site support for this project, dispatching engineers to the customer’s location prior to equipment delivery to coordinate installation and commissioning. Additionally, on-site training was provided for both operators and maintenance personnel.

Resultados do projeto
Based on on-site operational feedback, the crane operated smoothly during scrap steel lifting and molten steel transportation, exhibiting good positioning accuracy and operational stability. The equipment did not experience any abnormal shutdowns in continuous operation and required minimal maintenance, demonstrating its ability to adapt to the daily production rhythm of the steel plant.
